Our philosophy

Your brain is only as healthy as everything feeding it.

Brain symptoms — fog, forgetfulness, anxiety, low mood, poor sleep, low energy — are almost never a "brain problem" in isolation. They're signals from a system: the gut, the hormones, the sleep architecture, the immune system, the inflammation load, the nutrients that actually reach the neurons. We map all of it, then treat the roots that are yours.

Root-cause first.

We take a detailed history, then test. No guessing. Every symptom is traced to a mechanism we can measure and track.

Personalized, not templated.

Your labs, your history, your goals build your plan. Two patients with brain fog rarely get the same protocol.

Measured over 90 days.

Baseline, mid-point, and completion tracking on symptoms, sleep, mood, and cognitive scores — so we can see what's working.

The 90-day arc

Three phases. One clear plan.

The program runs across three phases — each about 30 days. You'll know exactly what we're doing, why, and how we'll measure it.

  1. Days 1–30 · Assess & Calm

Deep intake and testing (gut, DUTCH hormones, methylation, inflammation, sleep). We start foundational support — sleep hygiene, targeted nutrients, and calming the nervous system with IASIS if indicated. Baseline cognitive and symptom scores are captured.

  2. Days 31–60 · Address the Roots

With results in hand, we correct what's driving symptoms: gut dysbiosis, hormone imbalance, methylation blocks, sleep apnea referral, brain-food IV therapy, and ozone therapy if appropriate. Cognitive training and sleep training layer in.

  3. Days 61–90 · Optimize & Sustain

We re-check the labs and cognitive scores. What worked stays. What didn't gets swapped. You leave with a maintenance plan you can run for the next year without us.

The six pillars

What we look at, and what we do.

Every pillar is optional and used only when it fits your case. The pillars below are the toolkit — your plan is a subset of them.

1 · Root-cause history intake

A detailed timeline of symptoms, life events, illnesses, medications, exposures, and nutrition. This is where hidden drivers — a concussion, a mold exposure, a long antibiotic course, a chronic infection, an unresolved grief — often surface.

  • 60-minute new-patient visit
  • Symptom & timeline mapping
  • Family & environmental history
  • Medication & supplement review

2 · Gut, DUTCH, methylation & hormone care

The gut-brain axis, cortisol rhythm, sex hormones, and methylation genetics together explain a large share of "unexplained" cognitive and mood symptoms — especially in perimenopause and midlife. We use functional testing to see what generic labs miss, then treat what we find, including bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (HRT) when appropriate.

  • Comprehensive stool & gut microbiome analysis
  • DUTCH complete hormone & cortisol rhythm
  • MTHFR & methylation panel (homocysteine, B12, folate)
  • Inflammation markers (hs-CRP, homocysteine, ferritin, HbA1c)
  • Bioidentical HRT for perimenopause & menopause when indicated
  • Thyroid & adrenal support

3 · Sleep apnea evaluation

Untreated sleep apnea is one of the strongest modifiable drivers of cognitive decline and mood disorders — and it's badly underdiagnosed, especially in women. If your history suggests it, we screen and refer for a home sleep study.

  • STOP-BANG & symptom screening
  • Home sleep study referral
  • CPAP / oral appliance coordination
  • Follow-up on treatment response

4 · Brain-food IV therapy

When gut absorption or methylation is impaired, oral nutrients don't reach the brain in useful amounts. Targeted IV nutrients — NAD+, glutathione, methylated B-vitamins, magnesium, vitamin C — provide direct delivery. Used selectively, tracked over the program.

  • NAD+ infusions (mitochondrial & cognitive support)
  • Glutathione (antioxidant & detox support)
  • Methylated B-complex & magnesium
  • Custom formulations to your labs

5 · IASIS microcurrent & cognitive training

IASIS microcurrent neurofeedback uses ultra-low microcurrents to help the nervous system settle out of chronic stress and dysregulation. Paired with structured cognitive training and sleep training, it builds new patterns of function.

  • IASIS microcurrent neurofeedback sessions
  • Structured cognitive training (memory, attention, processing)
  • CBT-I-informed sleep training
  • Progress tracked with cognitive scoring

6 · Ozone therapy & inflammation support

Chronic neuroinflammation is a shared final pathway across many brain conditions. Medical ozone (MAH, EBOO adjunct) has emerging evidence for improving oxidative-inflammation balance and supporting recovery. We use it thoughtfully and only when indicated.

  • Major autohemotherapy (MAH)
  • EBOO adjunct (when appropriate)
  • Anti-inflammatory nutrition & supplement plan
  • Targeted botanicals (curcumin, omega-3, resveratrol)

7 · Infrared sauna & heat therapy

Regular sauna use is one of the most studied non-pharmacologic interventions for brain and vascular health. Repeated heat exposure raises heat-shock proteins, supports BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor), improves heart-rate variability, and behaves like a mild cardiovascular workout — useful when you can't exercise at intensity. We use it as an in-office adjunct alongside the rest of the plan.

  • Structured sauna dosing (temperature, duration, frequency)
  • Vascular & autonomic support (HRV, blood pressure)
  • Heat-shock protein & BDNF activation
  • Screening & safety sign-off before starting

An important note

  • The Brain Health Program is a wellness and functional-medicine program. It does not diagnose or treat Alzheimer's disease, dementia, stroke, seizure disorders, or other neurologic conditions.
  • If you have a diagnosed neurologic condition, we coordinate with your neurologist rather than replace them.
  • If a symptom is new, sudden, or severe (weakness, sudden confusion, facial droop, sudden speech change) — call 911.

The evidence library

Solid studies you can read on your own.

We believe patients should be able to look at the same research we do. Below is a curated starter library — peer-reviewed sources published in the last few years, grouped by topic. This is not a full literature review; it's an honest starting point.

Gut-brain axis & cognition
Sleep apnea & brain health
Methylation, MTHFR & homocysteine
Neuroinflammation & brain aging
IASIS microcurrent & cranial electrotherapy (CES)
Ozone therapy & the nervous system
IV nutrients — NAD+, glutathione, methylated B-vitamins
Cognitive training & sleep training

Studies are provided so you can read primary sources. They inform our thinking; they don't guarantee any individual result.

Common questions

What people usually want to know.

How much does the program cost?

Program pricing depends on which testing and therapies your plan uses — every plan is customized. We'll walk you through expected costs at your discovery call before you commit. Testing, IV therapy, IASIS sessions, and ozone therapy are billed separately from visits. Membership plans bundle visits and secure-message access.

Is any of this covered by insurance?

The program is a cash-pay wellness service. Some office visits and lab orders may be reimbursable out-of-network via a superbill — see the Billing page. IV therapy, IASIS, ozone therapy, and functional testing (DUTCH, gut, methylation) are not typically covered by commercial insurance. HSA and FSA accounts are often eligible.

Do I have to do all six pillars?

No. The pillars are a toolkit. Most patients use three or four. Your plan is built from the pieces that fit your history, testing, and goals.

Can I do this if I already have a neurologist or PCP?

Yes. We coordinate rather than replace. With your permission we share records with your other providers and stay in our lane.

What if I need longer than 90 days?

Many people do. The 90 days give us a full assess-address-optimize cycle with measurable checkpoints. After that, some patients graduate to maintenance visits; others continue with a second cycle focused on the pieces that still need work.

Can I speak Spanish with the provider?

Yes. Rosita is bilingual in English and Spanish, and the full program can be delivered in either language.
